2010 PEARL AWARDS
THE BACKSTORY
In 2004, to herald the commitment to excellence and the growing success of custom publishing, the CCC launched the continent’s first award program devoted exclusively to custom publishing. Custom content providers—small and large; B2B and B2C; representing clients in a wide range of industries; and producing magazines, newsletters, and web publications—have responded. In 2004, 250 entries were submitted; by 2008, the entry count had reached 614.

THE RULES
All companies providing custom content services, including independent custom publishers, divisions of larger publishing houses, advertising agencies, and other media conglomerates—whether or not they are currently members of the Custom Content Council, American Business Media and/or the CMO Council—may enter their publications. This year, corporate marketing departments are also eligible to enter—and they are urged to advise outside companies providing custom publishing services for them to enter on their behalf.
ALL PUBLICATIONS, WHETHER PRINT OR DIGITAL, MUST HAVE BEEN PRODUCED BETWEEN JULY 1, 2009 AND JUNE 30, 2010.

HOW TO ENTER
For each category you enter, please send in the following materials:
- Three copies of the publication, each with a separate entry form attached to it.
- For categories that require comparison enclose three copies of both new and old publications and/or other marketing materials relevant to the category.
- For every publication entered, please email a PDF of the cover, spread, illustration, or website screen-shot to Ariele Gonzalez.
- For electronic entries, enclose a PDF of the publication on a CD; for video or mobile entries enclose a CD or DVD. Entries that include just a URL will be disqualified.
- Payment must accompany entries. All materials submitted become the property of the Custom Content Council and will not be returned.

Please note: you may enter new books, annual reports, brochures, and other print publications that aren’t magazines or newsletters in the “one-shot” categories found under Editorial and Design.
DEADLINES
All entries must be postmarked by September 13, 2010.
FEES
CCC, ABM and CMO Council members pay $175 per entry. Non-members pay $300 per entry.
